William W. DeToro, Sr., LO/CO
Since 1968, William DeToro has innovated, trained, examined and served in the field of orthotics and prosthetics. After receiving postgraduate certificates from New York University and Northwestern University in Upper, Lower, and Spinal Orthotics, William received certification from the American Board in Orthotics in 1973. As a staff orthotist in the Youngstown area, he served as the president of the Ohio Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, and the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. Additionally, he served on numerous national and state committees in Orthotics and Prosthetics and was an orthotic examiner for nearly 15 consecutive years.
William established the Youngstown Orthotic Laboratory in 1978, and after several mergers and collaborations, was acquired by Hanger Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2001. William established Anatomical Concepts, Inc. in 1990, where he serves as CEO along side two of his children, President William A. DeToro and VP Andrea DeToro. William, his wife Emily of 46 years, and youngest daughter, Lindsay, spend most of their time in Poland, Ohio with their cat (Stewie).
William A. DeToro, Jr., CPO, LPO
With over 20 years experience in orthotics and prosthetics industry, Bill DeToro serves as the President of Anatomical Concepts, Inc. He is ABC certified in Prosthetics and Orthotics, and he is a licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist in the state of Ohio. Bill studied at Youngstown State University and Northwestern University, and completed his Prosthetic and Orthotic residencies at ABi O&P Labs. Bill previously served as on-call orthotic/prosthetic practitioner for Hanger Orthopedic Group in Boardman, OH before joining Anatomical Concepts, Inc. He is married to Christine (Schnieder) DeToro, RN/BSN, and has three sons: Vincent, Dominic, and Billy. His free time is spent with family, pets, fishing, travel, sports, and other outdoor activities.
Andrea DeToro Rupeka
Has been a part of the family owned business since 1999. She has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Youngstown State University and in 2004 decided to join the family business as the VP of Production. She takes great pride in making sure all products are at their highest quality before they leave our facility. She is married to Rob Rupeka and has one son, Robert. Her free time is spent with her family and dog, Fiona.
Lindsay A. DeToro
Has been in the Orthotics field for over 10 years. She began working at Anatomical Concepts, Inc. part time while she was in high school. Lindsay started working in the production department, assembling and producing various Orthotics that the company manufactures. Some years later, she became an Assistant Supervisor of production with her sister, Andrea, who is the Managerial Supervisor of the production department. In 2015, while she was continuing education at Youngstown State University for Marketing, she was promoted to Marketing Director and now handles the marketing and promotional department of the business. When Lindsay is not working, she enjoys spending her free time relaxing, watching movies, vacationing, spending time with her family, friends, her boyfriend Chris and her cat Stewie. And during the summertime, her favorite place to enjoy her time in the sun is Madison Shores on Lake Erie.
